Man locked in a museum in southern France detained


Police during a special operation detained a man who locked himself in an archaeological museum in the commune of Saint-Raphael, Var department in southern France.

According to law enforcement authorities on Twitter, the security perimeter is maintained for further investigation.

According to BFMTV, the man’s identity has not yet been established, he was not armed.

A previously unknown person sneaked into the museum and locked himself there. Threats in Arabic were discovered at the site.

The police began a special operation, there were no injuries.
