Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday exempted Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf and appointed him a minister of state and a member of the Council of Ministers.
Assaf did not stay in the ministry for a full year, he was appointed in late December 2018.
Prince Faisal, 45, has been ambassador to Germany since February 2019.
He also held several diplomatic posts and Saudi government companies, where he served as a consultant at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and senior adviser at the Saudi Embassy in Washington. Then as chairman. He was also a founding partner and chairman of Shamal Investment Company.
Saudi royal orders included the exemption of Nabil bin Mohammed al-Amoudi from the Ministry of Transport, and the appointment of Nasser bin Ali al-Jasser as his successor.
