Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday exempted Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf and appointed him a minister of state and a member of the Council of Ministers.

Assaf did not stay in the ministry for a full year, he was appointed in late December 2018.
