Abdullah Yousuf Al Ali, Executive Director of the Licensing Foundation, told the Emirates Today that the Authority started the pilot application of the examination in one of the institutes, to be applied in all institutes effectively by the beginning of next year.

He added that the road test, which is the final test in the set of practical tests required to get a driver's license, is an accurate and important examination, so it can not be transferred all the details of the examination to the smart system, pointing out that it has been completed about 35% of the test, for parts That serve both transparency and accuracy in the final examination results.

Al Ali explained that the examiner will remain present during the examination, but the smart system will record the number of errors the examiner through cameras and sensor systems, which will allow the examiner to focus on other points, pointing out that the results of the examination will also allow the examiner and the management of the Institute compared between the observations recorded by the system and observations recorded The examiner, which ensures the highest level of transparency, confirming that the results of the full inspection will be issued by the smart system without the intervention of any human element.

He added that the system includes an electronic map to walk the trainee during the examination instead of receiving oral instructions, pointing out that the system does not allow fraud or impersonate another person to the identity of the examiner.

He explained that among the mistakes that will be recorded by the system not to fasten the seat belt, both for the driver and passengers, exceeding the speed limit, or the use of brakes in an aggressive manner, or not to pay attention to make sure that no vehicle or person passes in the blind spot on both sides of the vehicle.

Al Ali summarized the objectives of the Smart Track system in terms of developing the level of services provided to customers. He said that he will improve the road inspection service for driving license by automating the reading and analysis of customers' driving skills, in addition to developing a system that is the first of its kind in the world.
