January 29, 2016A 16-month-old Italian child died in the Caribbean in a car accident involving 7 cruise passengers of the MSC ship 'Orchestra', during a car excursion on the island of Dominica. The other passengers have practically done nothing.

Only the mother of the child is in hospital on observation as a precaution, while the father was already discharged after receiving some medical care, as well as the other passengers of the vehicle, two Brazilian tourists and two other Italians.

The seven cruise passengers, according to the first reconstructions, would have left the ship for a trip to the twin waterfalls of "Trafalgar Falls", 20 minutes away from Roseau. A short ride, interspersed also by a stop at a viewing platform.

A member of the MSc cruise team is assisting the child's parents. "That minibus had been independently rented by cruise passengers and is not a vehicle managed by MSC," the company explains. "The staff and the property are close to the family of the child affected by the tragedy".
