Gotlandshem writes in a press release that there may be a risk that the project is in conflict with the Companies Act if it turns out to be unprofitable.

"We go back and raise every stone to be able to change the calculations," says Roger Wärn, chairman of Gotlandshem's board, to SVT Nyheter Öst.

High construction costs

- Building prices have risen by 48 percent over the past three years according to Statistics Norway.

The project in Slite would provide about 20 new rental properties with estimated occupancy at year-end 2020/2021.

- What the company needs to do now is to review the conditions in the project and the conditions for being able to carry out a new production in Slite in accordance with the current owner directives. We do not give up.

A decision on what will happen with Othem Ejdern will be made at the next board meeting on December 3.
