According to the National Security Survey from Brå, the inhabitants of Upplands-Bro feel most unsafe in the whole country, seen from the municipalities. Magnus Nilsson is a municipal police officer in Upplands-Bro and Järfälla:

- We have compared ourselves to other similar municipalities where insecurity is considerably lower and we do not find any huge differences, so we have considered what is different. It's hard to put your finger on, but a clear difference is that there are very strong facebook groups.

Magnus Nilsson does not want to go into more detail about who the groups are, but says that they control the messages and what is delivered. He believes that their message is to lift up everything that is bad.

"Rinsed by all that is bad"

- This is a hypothesis that cannot be proved, but if you live in Upplands-Bro and are flooded with everything that is bad - it is robbery, it is young people here and there, some are facts, some are misunderstood and a part is a hit - if this is a municipal resident's primary news source, it's no wonder the security figures are low.

Magnus Nilsson says they usually get a lot of criticism when they point this out, but he would like to see some research on the impact of the Facebook groups.

- Everything is not good in Upplands-Bro, but the problems are not in proportion to what the safety figures show. The only reasonable explanation is the clear drive in these facebook groups.

Have been shooting

The answers from the survey were collected in 2017 and 2018 and Magnus Nilsson asks himself if this means that you are unsure of Upplands-Bro here and now? He notes that they have had shootings that they work with, but also that the municipality has done a "huge job" with the security issues.

- There are grounds for concern in vulnerable areas, but given the municipality in general there is no reason to be more unsafe than in other comparable places.
