It took 26 drive-ups for the 36-year-old Huskvarnabon to get a driver's license. Statistics from the Swedish Transport Administration, which the news agency Siren has produced, show that more than 1,200 people have driven at least 15 times since 2013. The one in Sweden that has driven most times is a 45-year-old Sollentunabo who got his driver's license after 50 driving.

- It is extremely unusual. During this period, a total of just over 1.8 million driving tests were conducted, says Kristina Hagberg, head of the Swedish Transport Administration.

Most runs in the shortest time

The person who has driven most times in the shortest time during the period is a 40-year-old from Upplands-Bro, who drove up 15 times during 1.5 months this summer.

- We are trying to say that you should keep up with your test opportunities, so that you really train between the times and invest in education instead of retesting. We sometimes see that you come back too soon to take tests, and there is nothing to stop them if there are free times, says Kristina Hagberg.

After the 36-year-old Huskvarnabon, it is a 52-year-old from Vetlanda who has tried most times in the county. They got their driver's license at the 23rd attempt.

A 32-year-old from Huskvarna has also driven up 23 times. That person still lacks a driver's license.

The plastic driver's license may be about to be replaced with a driver's license app on the phone. The Transport Agency in Örebro is currently investigating the issue.
