October 22, 2019The investigations on the 6-year-old boy who fell on the 18th floor of the Pirelli school in Milan ended at the Niguarda hospital. After more than 6 hours of analysis (the procedure began at 9.53 this morning) the doctors declared the brain to be dead. "With reference to the child who died at school in Milan on October 18, it was announced that the death assessment was terminated with neurological criteria and the death was declared at 9.53 am," they wrote in a note.

After the fall the child was taken to the Niguarda hospital where he had been operated urgently to reduce the intracranial pressure. His condition had immediately appeared serious. This morning investigations were started to declare the death of the child that ended in the afternoon.

The prosecutor investigates for failure to supervise. From the first surveys no irregularities emerged on the railing of the staircases whose bars (the ties) were separated by a distance of only 12 centimeters.
