Former US president Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized after a broken pelvis that fell again at his home, his organization announced Tuesday.

He assured the Carter Center, which described the break as "slight" that the former president "morale is good and eager to return to his home" in the state of Georgia.

Carter, the oldest 95-year-old US president, suffered a head wound on October 6 after falling into his home and recalled 14 stitches.

But the former Democratic president, who took office from 1977 to 1981, participated the next day in a concert of humanitarian activists, and his face appeared swollen with a large bandage.
