Stéphane Baly, candidate EELV municipal Lille, said Tuesday that "the match" for the belfry would be played between the outgoing mayor Martine Aubry (PS) and himself, Violette Spillebout, LREM candidate, and the right not being able according to him to impose himself.

"We would have thought it would be a three-way battle", with Ms. Spillebout, but "in reality the match is between Aubry and me," said Baly, 47, a city councilor since 2014.

"Our goal is to get ahead," ahead of Martine Aubry on March 15 and "build, in the second round, a large gathering with a compass ecologist," he added.

"I do not confuse my enemies - the National Gathering - my opponents - Spillebout and the Right - and my competitors or future partners", namely the Socialists, the LFI and the Communists, underlines Mr. Baly.

No question therefore for him to make an alliance with the macronistes: "Violet Spillebout, it's Iznogoud, she wants to be caliph instead of the caliph She tries to poach ecologist voices but it is not ecologic We have disagreements on the armaments of the municipal police and video surveillance in particular. "

Ecologists have always presented, since 1977, a list in the first round of Municipalities in Lille. They sit in the majority since 2001. "We assume to have been for three terms in the majority, we want to embody a benevolent alternation," he said.

In 2014, their list had 11.1% of the votes while Ms. Aubry had made 34.9%. The ecologists, strong of their 21,7% in Lille to the Europeans, want to believe that the balance of forces with the socialists will be rebalanced for these municipal.

As for LFI, if Mr. Baly says he is ready to make an alliance with the Rogue, "the people are waiting for elected officials who act and not who block," he says.

De Martine Aubry, which he believes has "missed his exit and his succession" since "this mandate was to be his last", he now expects it "down in the arena" and "we are project against project".

"When it's fuzzy, it's because there's a wolf," he says, resuming the pike thrown in 2011 by Martine Aubry to his PS opponent François Hollande.

And "if by any chance" Mr. Baly was ranked behind the mayor - not yet officially nominated - he would be ready to discuss an alliance under his banner "provided he broke the majority of today and built a real coalition".
