ArcelorMittal "calls for the necessary legal protection to be able to continue to implement its own environmental plan and remains confident that a solution will be found": it is read in a note from the company regarding the former Ilva of Taranto ":

Previously the president of the ArcelorMittal group and Cfo Aditya Mittal, responding to a question in the conference call on the problem of legal protection for the former Ilva plant in Taranto, said: "We are collaborating with the government and I must say that the executive is very constructive with us". Work has been done, he added, "to pass new laws or new legislation that restores the immunity we had". "The laws have not yet been approved but they have given us the indication that they will do so before September," he concluded.
