According to him, the Ukrainian delegation was in the USA for a week and participated in negotiations with IMF representatives on a new program, which is designed for three years.

“We agreed that in two weeks, colleagues from the International Monetary Fund will return to Ukraine with an appropriate return visit,” Goncharuk said in a video message on his Facebook page.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister expects that a new cooperation program will be finally agreed upon as a result of the IMF visit.

“I really hope that during their second visit we will make progress and be able to clearly say that we will receive this program at the end of this year,” he assured.

Earlier, IMF Europe Department Director Paul Thomsen announced that experts would go to Ukraine in the coming weeks to discuss structural reforms.

On October 17, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Yakov Smoly, met in Washington with IMF leader Kristalina Georgieva.
