On Monday, chief physician Mikael Köhler announced that it would be interrupting the surgery stop as of tomorrow, Tuesday. Which P4 Uppland was the first to report.

- Our goal is to run a normal operation program, says Mikael Köhler to SVT Uppsala.

On a regular day, about 95 surgeries are performed at the Academic Hospital. Since the stop of the operation on October 10, approximately 75 surgeries have been performed each day, ie 20 fewer per day. A total of 150 operations have been canceled, of which at least 30 affect children.

Still unstable

You still have problems with pharmacy services deliveries, but during the weekend received so many deliveries that you dare make the decision to plan upcoming operations.

- We have received deliveries from other places and we have better control of our storage stations. We have also set up new working groups that work exclusively with this, ”says Mikael Köhler.

Can you say that everything is normal again?

- Normally it is not, but it feels nice. But we will still need to be very careful and vigilant about our stock situation. We may have to back down from the decision.
