According to Erdogan, Turkey will resume the military operation if after 120 hours the agreement with the United States on the withdrawal of Kurdish forces is not fulfilled.

“We expect from our American allies that this time they will demonstrate commitment to delivering on the promises made by Turkey,” he said.

Earlier, Turkey and the United States agreed to suspend the "Source of Peace" military operation in northeastern Syria to allow Kurdish forces to withdraw.

Syrian Kurds later accused Turkey of violating the ceasefire. Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan denied the allegations.

On October 19, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that the Kurds were violating the truce.
