A Turkish citizen has died in the western state of Izmir, following the extraction of nearly 200 pieces of metal from his stomach, a total weight of 580 grams.

The patient went to the ambulance department at the hospital of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of "Aga" in the district of Bornoa Izmir, after feeling abdominal pain.

According to the Anatolian reporter, the doctors noted the presence of 200 pieces of metal in various forms, weighing 580 grams, in the stomach of the patient, which necessitated surgery immediately.

After a three-hour operation, doctors managed to extract the metal from the patient's stomach.

Doctors found magnets, lead holes, nails, coins, metal letters and other metals of different sizes in an incident that surprised doctors.

After the operation, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit, but later died of intoxication from magnets and other metals, according to doctors supervising him.
