October 19, 2019 Hillary Clinton accuses an aspiring Democratic presidential candidate of being "the favorite of the Russians" and she attacks the former Secretary of State calling her "the queen of warmongers" and "personification of the rotten and corruption".

The heated clash in the democratic camp started in a Clinton conversation with David Plouffe, former manager of Barack Obama's campaign in 2008 and now host of the "campaign Hq" podcast.

Without naming names, the former 2016 presidential candidate spoke of one of the women in the running for the 2020 nominations as the "favorite of the Russians". "They have a lot of sites and bots and other ways to support it," he said, alluding to an Internet campaign.

The clear goal of the Clinton allusions, explains The Hill site, was the Hawaii deputy Tulsi Gabbard, already repeatedly accused of being an instrument of the Russians. Many observers have noticed that his statements are amplified on social media by trolls and bots apparently attributable to Moscow. War veteran in Iraq, Gabbard has repeatedly attacked the establishment of American foreign policy, without however obtaining much visibility, given that in the polls she is credited with 1.2%.

His response to Clinton, which was very tough, was not long in coming, inviting the former first lady to try again to run for the job. "Thank you Hillary Clinton. You, the queen of warmongers, the personification of corruption and the decay that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out. Since I announced my candidacy there has been a concerted campaign against me ", tweeted Gabbard, accusing Clinton of being the director of the attacks. "It is clear by now that these primaries are between you and me. Don't cowardly hide behind your henchmen. Come down directly into the field," he concluded.
