Yemeni Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ahmed al-Maisari and Transport Minister Saleh al-Jibwani arrived early Saturday at Sayun International Airport in the eastern province of Hadramout.

Their return comes more than two months after their forced exit after the United Arab Emirates-backed security belt and transitional council forces seized the interim capital of Aden.

When the NTC took control of Aden in August, the ministers of al-Maysari and Jabwani, along with others, were evacuated to Saudi Arabia.

The two ministers returned at a time when Riyadh is reportedly seeking a settlement in Aden by merging the transitional council with the government of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and curtailing UAE influence.

After the coup in Aden, al-Maysari and Jabbani denounced Abu Dhabi's actions and demanded their removal from the Saudi-led coalition.
