Walk for freedom started in Australia with the goal of abolishing all forms of modern slavery.
- You might think that something happened a long time ago in Africa, but it is going on here and now, says Filip Gepertz, who is the contact person for today's manifesto in Karlstad.
- People are exploited in trafficking and prostitution. It's going on at the hotels here right now.
About 70 people had signed up for today's manifesto, and similar actions were taken at the same time in over 450 locations in 50 countries.
In Karlstad the "Walk for freedom" train for the second year. In Sweden, events were also held in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Örebro, Falun and Jönköping.
- We want to shed light on the issue and get people to think and react. For example, one might question whether a craftsman is unreasonably cheap. People are exploited here today, says Filip Gepertz.
