The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Palestinian Gaza Strip has started the establishment of the first youth football team in the Gaza Strip, the first team in the Middle East. The team includes a number of children whose limbs have been amputated during the ongoing Israeli attacks, especially the return marches.

According to the Palestinian news agency "together" has contributed Irish coach Simon Baker in the establishment of this team, and the establishment of football rules for those with amputations in the Gaza Strip.

It is noteworthy that Simon Baker, founder of the Association of Ireland in the generosity of the amputation, and the Secretary-General of the International Federation of the Amputee, lost his party in a construction accident, and the sport that created him helped transform his life, and devoted most of his time to spread this sport in the world.

“Sport has a significant impact on the lives of people with disabilities,” said Suhair Zaqout, spokeswoman for the Red Cross in Gaza.

"Seeing the Cubs today makes us proud. These are the future and they will represent their country in international competitions, as happened with the wheelchair basketball team."

"Don't give up, Gaza is rich in you," Simon Baker wrote to the team's youngsters.
