A new coach and everything changes. With Antoine Kombouaré on the bench, Toulouse won the Stadium on Saturday during the 10th day of Ligue 1 in front of Lille (2-1) very hard to exist at four days of their decisive match against Valencia in the League of champions.

The happiness for the Toulouse arrived just before the hour of play with a header of Yaya Sanogo (58th). Then Max-Alain Gradel widened the gap on a penalty (66th), before missing a second (82nd).

Decidedly, Lille are struggling to exist far from their stadium. With this defeat, their third in the league and outside after those conceded in Amiens (0-1) and Reims (0-2), the Nordic temporarily move to 6th place in the standings.

Especially, deprived of several players like Zeki Celik in defense or Benjamin André in the middle, the men of Christophe Galtier posted flaws. They only very rarely managed to develop the game. And they created themselves very few opportunities, before reducing the score in additional time by José Fonte a uncrossed head (90 + 3).

An ominous performance before Wednesday's Champions League survival match against Valencia, after defeats in Amsterdam (3-0) and Chelsea (2-1).

On the TFC bench, Antoine Kombouaré is not a magician. In four trainings since he took over from Alain Casanova, he obviously did not heal his group of all its ills.

But this success, the first against Losc in four seasons and the first after a series of five games without a win (three defeats, two draws), has given a little balm to the heart to a team coming out of the red zone and found 13th. Not a luxury, because the upcoming program in the league is arduous with European opponents: a trip to Rennes, the reception of Lyon and just an interlude in the Coupe de la Ligue in Niort.

The strength of Toulouse was to remain patient while the elements were not favorable, with the injury losses of Wesley Said (16th) then Bafodé Diakité (27th).

And undoubtedly a lack of success, like a bicycle jewel of Yaya Sanogo who was hitting the base of the left post while Mike Maignan was stuck on his line (28th). A strike 20 meters from Gradel also hit the underside of the crossbar before bouncing off the line (45th).

Before the match, Kombouare had called for revolt. He was heard. And the goals are logically rewarded his players. First with Sanogo who took the head of a center Mathieu Dossevi, then Gradel on a penalty after a call to the VAR for a hand of Foot. A new hand from Pied and the VAR gave Toulouse a second penalty, but Gradel ruined that one. Finally of no consequence for the Téfécé.
