Berlin (dpa) - Electricity customers must adjust in addition to a higher EEG surcharge on rising power grid fees. According to the latest figures from the Verivox comparison portal, grid charges will climb by an average of 6 percent next year. But there are strong regional differences. The network charges make up about a quarter of the electricity price. Because the second major cost block is also growing, the EEG levy to promote the energy transition, consumers must expect higher overall electricity prices.
