19 October 2019.At the Rome Film Festival it is the day of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Bill Murray, delivered by Wes Anderson, the director who helped make it an icon of contemporary life.

Before the ceremony, Anderson will talk with the actor during a Close Encounter during which the two friends will retrace the main stages of their artistic journey: from Rushmore to I Tenenbaum, from The Aquatic Adventures of Steve Zissou to The Darjeeling Train , passing through Moonrise Kingdom - A love escape, Grand Budapest Hotel and the newest Dog Island.

Other encounters Close with Ron Howard and Kore-eda Hirokazu.

In the Official Selection the film based on the TV series Downton Abbey directed by Michael Engler.

The film takes up and continues the vicissitudes of the aristocratic Crawley family: we return to their sumptuous estate with the most illustrious guests the Crawleys have ever hoped to have, the sovereigns of the United Kingdom, King George V and Queen Mary, all of whom they will bring with them a court lady whose presence will prove shocking to the hosts.

With a sumptuous evening to prepare and a dinner to study in every detail, the servants who are part of Crawley's faithful servitude will have to do everything possible to ensure the success of the event.

The visit of the monarchs will give rise to scandals, misfortunes and intrigues that will hold down the future of Downton Abbey.

Also presented at the Festival were Military Wives by Peter Cattaneo.

The lives of military wives at the front can be ungrateful. Separated from their husbands, they live in anxiety and solitude, facing silent sacrifices with mild courage, while living in terror that one day someone knocked at the door with fatal news.

But Kate, the wife of an officer, endures everything with grace and firmness, also thanks to the freedom she finds in singing, and manages to convince a group of women in her own situation to form the first choir composed of military wives.
