The International Institute for Tolerance, in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, will launch the Global Tolerance Network and the Challenge of Tolerance next Tuesday.

The institute stressed that the two initiatives aim at spreading and consolidating the concept and spirit of tolerance, peaceful coexistence and positive dialogue, and accepting others among the members of the society, pointing out that the launch of the two initiatives will be attended by the Managing Director of the International Institute for Tolerance, Dr. Hamad bin Sheikh Ahmed Al-Shaibani, and Director General Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority In Dubai, Rain Al Tayer. The Global Tolerance Network initiative aims to build global leaderships and cadres that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge, within a sound intellectual framework, free from prejudice, violence and hatred.The membership includes individuals proposed by government and private institutions, individual initiatives, youth and media platforms, as well as universities and educational institutions.

The Global Tolerance Initiative will be a global competition based on challenge and competition, aimed at university students from around the world, to embody tolerance in different artistic ways, such as theatrical performances, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, writing short art stories, and initiatives. In May, Al Shaibani and Al Tayer signed a partnership agreement to support the strategic cooperation between them in an effort to integrate efforts and strengthen partnership and exchange of experiences to consolidate the UAE initiative by making 2019 a year of tolerance. Al Tayer said that the agreement reflects RTA's keenness to promote the value of tolerance through practices on the ground, pointing out that the UAE is a global model for tolerance and coexistence among peoples of all nationalities, races and religions.
