The head of the CSU of Germany, Söder, re-elected party chairman

The head of the Christian Social Union (CSU) of Germany, Marcus Söder, was re-elected party chairman by the vast majority of participants in the annual party congress.

According to the N-TV channel, Zoder gained 91.3% of the vote, improving last year's figure of 87.4%.

In January, Marcus Söder succeeded Horst Seehofer as head of the CSU.

Later, Zoder expressed the opinion that Russia has no place in the “penalty box” of world politics and expressed support for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
