- We are very proud that Linköping now gets Sweden's largest solar cell park. We are building the world's most resource-efficient region and therefore we must increase the availability of long-term sustainable energy solutions. Here energy from the sun is an important part, says Tekniskaverket's CEO Charlotta Sund, in a press release.

The area is estimated to be 13 hectares and the expected annual production amounts to 11.5 GWh, which corresponds to electricity for 2,300 villas. One of the country's major banks is participating in the project and will also buy electricity from the plant. 30,000 panels will be mounted on a land area corresponding to 22 football pitches.
