Wales opener Dan Biggar, an uncertain time to have suffered two consecutive shocks to the head in the group stage, will hold well against France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup Sunday in Oita.

The composition Welsh, unveiled by Friday noon, comes with no surprise: it is the same starting team that aligned in the shock of Pool D won against Australia in late September (29-25).

Biggar (30 years old, 76 caps), center Jonathan Davies, left knee injured against Fiji (29-17) and winger George North, slightly injured in one ankle after the same game, are all three reinstated and holders .

Davies, key member of the three-quarter line, was the most uncertain of the three: the N.13 had interrupted his training on Tuesday to stretch and wear a wide bandage around his knee.

Biggar was out on concussion protocol in the second pool match won against the Wallabies, and suffered an even stronger head-to-head injury against the Fijians, hit by the elbow of teammate Liam Williams at the candle reception.

The Welsh Federation (WRU) justified in the release the quick return to competition of its N.10: "The WRU has worked with World Rugby to bring the best care to Dan, Dan has never had any symptoms ( since the match and gradually crossed the steps to return to the game. The accompaniment required an MRI examination and two consultations with an expert - independent - in commotions known in Australia ".

"All the formalities for a return to the game" of Dan Biggar "have been fulfilled," insisted the WRU for whom "the health of the players is in the foreground".

Biggar will form the hinge with scrum half Gareth Davies (29, 48 seed), N.1 at the position since early 2018 and author of two trials in group stage. Rhys Patchell, coming into play after Biggar's two concussions, will be the replacement opener again.

Captain Alun Wyn Jones will improve his national selections record with a 132nd cape on the back row.

As against Georgia and Australia, Josh Navidi will take the center of the third row, surrounded by Justin Tipuric and Aaron Wainwright, while he was more used as a flanker before Japan.
