- A truck has leaked diesel during its journey on the E22 and several cars have been canoeing off the road due to slippage. We have had to make big cuts from Sege to Råby in southern Lund, says police spokesman Jimmy Modin, to SVT News Skåne, just before 11 o'clock on Friday.

No injuries

There are initially no reports of personal injury from the site.

- About thirty cars drove in the diesel oil at Lund Södra and now they can not drive any further. Now they are waiting for a car wash to come and clean them up, says Jimmy Modin.

The police urge all road users to listen to the police and emergency services and absolutely do not pass any barriers.

- An error on the truck caused it to leak out diesel without the driver noticing anything. The leak is now stopped and the truck will be towed. Now it's all about cleaning up the stretch of road after the leak, says police spokesman Jimmy Modin.

Closed for the afternoon

The Swedish Transport Administration encourages all road users to choose a different route if possible due to fast growing queues.

The forecast for when the road can open again is calculated at some point during the Friday afternoon, depending on the extent of the rescue and recovery work.
