Interior Minister Christophe Castaner pledged Thursday to settle "a first part of overtime" due to the police by the end of the year, one of the reasons for anger officials recently taken to the streets .

Stressing that "it will take some time to pay" these extra hours, Christophe Castaner added during the show "You have the word" on France 2: "At the end of this year, the goal is to to clear a first part of the overtime we owe them ". The minister said that in the 2020 budget "26 million to pay for overtime" and ensure that "we do not rebuild the stock."
