At least 62 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in a bombing in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, according to local authorities.

"The number of victims may rise as rescue workers pull more bodies from the masses," says Sohrab Qaderi of Nagarhar's provincial council.

The bomb detonated in a mosque in the Haska Mina district, in the middle of Friday prayers. The roof of the building collapsed by the explosion. No group has yet assumed responsibility, but both Taliban and IS are active in Nangarhar province, Reuters writes.
