He added that the umbrella of the health insurance allows the policyholder to benefit from the services and the package of health insurance anywhere in the country, within a network of more than 3000 health facilities and 20,000 certified doctors, pointing out that the health insurance market includes 75 insurance companies, offering more Of the 12 thousand insurance policy varied privileges.

Al-Hashemi said that «the health insurance system in its entirety represents a realistic translation of the manifestations and content of the well-being of the state in general, and Dubai in particular. It is also a broad umbrella, with more than 5.1 million insurance policies currently in place, up from 600,000 in 2013, prior to the issuance of the mandatory insurance law in Dubai. ”

He pointed out that the Authority has recently adopted the medical coding system (CPT), which is the latest in the world, to manage the health insurance system, and document the relationship of health care providers and insurance companies, and activate the roles of the parties concerned, and its responsibility towards the insurance claims of millions of beneficiaries of insurance, managed by the Authority Through eClaimlink, the Dubai Health Insurance Corporation.

Hashemi said that the new system is the best in the world. Under its accreditation to the Department of Health Insurance in Dubai, the TRA has established new rules of transparency among all stakeholders, from healthcare providers, insurance companies and users of medical services, raising the level of trust and satisfaction among all. The CPT coding system also has a high potential for disease monitoring, by tracking prescriptions and data that can be collected from diagnostic processes, enhancing the disease prevention network, and supporting future decision-making.

He stressed that the use and recruitment of the latest CPT codes for 2018 in Dubai provides a unified and simplified language for healthcare providers, insurance companies, TPA and DHIC as an organizer, making it easier for healthcare providers to 'billing' more accurately than the care they provide, and to ensure faster approval processes for patients. With more than 10,000 codes available for services and procedures, your healthcare provider will be able to classify codes and choose the most appropriate and accurate code for each medical treatment.

He concluded by saying that medical coding is a unified and integrated system for the exchange of data in Dubai between medical providers and insurance companies, and the competent authorities and patients, where the medical service is linked to a specific code, showing the quality and professional specialty of the doctor, and whether the patient has completed the service or not. The accounting, financial claims, and billing process are ultimately satisfactory to all, and at the same time reflect the true value of each service.

The Authority has adopted the medical coding system (CPT) to manage the health insurance system, and document the relationship of health care providers and insurance companies, and activate the roles of all parties concerned, and its responsibility towards the insurance claims of millions of insurance beneficiaries.

Under a recent partnership agreement with the American Medical Association, the agreement will support the unified exchange of medical data between caregivers and insurance companies in Dubai. At the same time, the TRA also grants a license to use Procedural Terminology (CPT® 2018), a comprehensive set of copyright-protected laws that enable interoperability, reporting, measurement, analysis, and evaluation of medical services and procedures across Dubai's healthcare system.

The introduction of CPT coding coincides with the digital and smart transitions taking place in Dubai, and is in line with the Authority's directives to optimize the use of modern technologies and software in the health sector, especially in the health insurance system, and the insurance market, which amounts to more than AED 17 billion, at a time of high dynamic At the level of operations and financial claims between health institutions and insurance companies, which are approximately 100,000 operations per day.
