Fifa decided earlier this year that ÖFK would not be allowed to register new players during the two upcoming transfer windows. This is because FIFA believes that ÖFK acted wrongly in connection with the departure of ÖFK last year by Saman Ghoddos. That decision is appealed to CAS.

Thus, CAS has now decided that ÖFK may register new players pending the hearing of ÖFK's appeal regarding the Ghoddos deal by CAS.

- This means that until then we have the right to recruit players, says ÖFK press officer Niclas Lidström to SVT Jämtland.

When a decision can be made by CAS is unclear.

- It can take up to a year, says Niclas Lidström.

ÖFK currently has three players with outgoing contracts; goalkeeper Aly Keita, team captain Tom Petterson and Jamie Hopcutt. Whether these players will leave the club is not clear.

- Now we are going to play the season, says Niclas Lidström. After that we can bring it up for discussion.
