After lengthy negotiations, the EU and the UK government confirmed that a Brexit agreement was agreed. Stefan Löfven is on site in Brussels for the EU summit, which starts on Thursday.

- We have always strived for an orderly exit, we have insisted very clearly that we do not want any border on the Irish island and at the same time we want to protect the internal market. This seems to have been cleared up in this deal, says Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S).

"Supports a continuation"

During the EU summit, leaders will receive a review of the agreement. Before that, Löfven does not want to comment on details.

- Right now, analyzes are being done in many countries. My assessment is that we want to move the political forward, we support a continuation of the process of this agreement as a basis.

At the same time, Stefan Löfven (S) says it is far from clear that the agreement will be voted on in the British Parliament.

- Then we are unfortunately back on a disorderly exit. It looks very even in the British Parliament so it is uncertain what will happen there on Saturday, says the prime minister.
