The ministry said that from the waters of the Barents and Okhotsk seas, submarines of the Northern and Pacific fleets launched ballistic missiles at the Kura training grounds in Kamchatka and the Chizh in the Arkhangelsk region.

Also, surface ships of the Northern Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla launched Caliber cruise missiles from the Barents and Caspian seas on targets on the shore.

“The practical launch of cruise and ballistic missiles was controlled from the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation,” the Ministry of Defense said.

Thunder-2019 aircraft command exercises are held in Russia from October 15-17. As reported, in the exercises will be involved 12 thousand military, 213 launchers of strategic missile forces, missile carriers and ships.
