17 October 2019 "We suspect that unconventional weapons are used against" Kurdish fighters from Turkey "in the besieged city of Serekaniye" (Ras al Ayn inarabo), in the north-east of Syria. He was denounced via Twitter by Mustafa Bali, head of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (FDS) communication. The complaint is accompanied by a video service of the Hawar agency, a body of the Kurdish administration in Syria, from a hospital in the area where some children are hospitalized with severe burn injuries, described in an interview by a local doctor.

The Kurdish spokesman refers to "news and signals" received "from the besieged city" and invites "international organizations to send their teams to investigate some wounds suffered in the attacks". According to Bali, "medical facilities in the north-east of Syria no longer have expert teams after NGOs have been withdrawn due to the Turkish invasion".

And the Kurdish accusation is immediately answered by Ankara: "Everyone knows that the Turkish army has no chemical weapons in its inventory. Some information indicates that" the Kurdish "Ypg militias use chemical weapons to then accuse Turkey". Ankara's defense minister said so, rejecting the accusations about the use of unconventional weapons in the Turkish raids on Ras alAyn.
