It is one of the points in the so-called January agreement that is now ticked off. The government, together with the Center Party and the Liberals, will look at how to reform the school.

- We now agree with the government to investigate how we can improve the quality of teacher education. We have seen that we have a big drop-off and that for many years teacher students have said that, for example, you do not get enough practical elements in the education. We must do something about it, says Roger Haddad.

Part of what the parties want to achieve with the reform is to get more people to apply for education. Among other things, by generally raising the status of the education and the profession.

Want to attract academics to saddle about

- The most important message is that the demands on the students and the education must be increased so that we get the right teacher at our schools, says Roger Haddad.

You also want to see if you can attract other professional groups to the teaching profession.

- We want to see if we can attract more academics and researchers to saddle up to teachers. Today, there are short courses for some academics of about two years, we want to see if we can develop more, says Roger Haddad.

The report is expected to be finalized in March next year.
