François Hollande takes up the pen again with a children's book which will be released in February 2020: "Their Republic explained to young and old", published by Glénat.

Their Republic explained to young and old . This will be the title of the book that will be signed François Hollande in February 2020, according to information collected from the publisher Glénat. To appear in the collection When it goes, when it's not going , the book will be aimed at children from the age of five.

"A clear and didactic book" according to Glénat

The editor explains that it is "a clear and didactic book on the foundations of our Republic and what makes it a democracy". Editions Glénat is pleased that this book (64 pages, 15 euros), illustrated by the designer Laure Monloubou, was "written by a man who has exercised the highest office and who, through 40 years of local politics and national, has identified the expectations and misunderstandings of its fellow citizens. Throughout the pages, young readers will be able to discover what a country, a constitution or what have been the different political regimes since the French Revolution.

While waiting for the beginning of the year 2020, and the publication of this book, François Hollande will publish next Wednesday a short book of interviews titled Responding to the democratic crisis (Fayard / Terra Nova). This is a reflection on the institutions of the Fifth Republic, the "ambiguities and contradictions of our Constitution".

The former head of state had a huge success in bookstores in 2018 with his book The Lessons of Power (Stock), sold to 150,000 copies, and has just been reissued (Paperback).
