“The increase (in numbers) is associated with reorganization measures: the NCCS (National Center for Crisis Management) of the Russian Emergencies Ministry will cease to exist as an independent legal entity and will become a structural unit of the central office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry,” the ministry said.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on almost doubling the number of staff in the central office of the Ministry of Emergencies.

The maximum number of employees of the apparatus is set at the level of 1796 people, earlier it was 996 employees.
