The Government has communicated to the Franco family its intention to transfer the coffin by helicopter with the remains of the dictator from the Valley of the Fallen to the cemetery of Mingorrubio in El Pardo (Madrid).

Family sources have confirmed to Efe that the Government's proposal has taken place this week at a meeting held by Franco's family lawyer, Luis Felipe Utrera Molina, with representatives of the Executive.

The Government agreed last October 11 in the Council of Ministers that Franco's exhumation will take place before October 25 and that he would communicate to the family the exact date 48 hours before if they wish to attend the event.

The Francisco Franco Foundation has appealed to the Supreme Court to suspend said agreement, considering that a functioning government cannot adopt such decisions and that the courts of justice must also rule on it as they did on the exhumation decree.

At the same time, the Foundation has presented another brief of allegations before the Government in which it reiterates the family's request that Franco's exhumation be done following military honors ordinances, that the coffin be covered with the national flag during the transfer and burial and transported to the shoulders of their relatives and relatives.
