“Pobeda Airlines, for the execution of the decision of the Moscow City Court, is forced to include in the tariff the cost of registering customers at foreign airports,” RIA Novosti reports.

The airline said that "from the winter schedule, which begins on October 28, 2019, Pobeda will increase the price of tickets for all flights from foreign airports by € 25."

The press service said that in 2018, due to rising prices for jet fuel, airline costs increased by more than 30%. In order not to raise ticket prices, Pobeda found a solution to reduce the cost of airport services and invited customers to register on-line online.

Victory CEO Andrei Kalmykov said the airline is “categorically against” having “customers pay for services they don’t use.”

“And the measure that we are forced to take by court decision kills this philosophy ... Unfortunately, we were forced to abandon this global practice, and forced to increase tariffs for all customers, including the cost of registration at the airport, even if they register themselves online, ”added the CEO of the company.

In December 2018, Kalmykov said that the company turned to the Ministry of Transport with a proposal to exclude from the federal aviation rules the obligation of the carrier to include the registration fee at the airport in the ticket price.
