In Hong Kong, after nearly six months of protest against the power close to Beijing, Carrie Lam, the head of the executive, is in an increasingly difficult position. She had to give up this morning to deliver her policy speech to Parliament.

with our correspondent in Hong Kong, Florence de Changy

This is almost the worst scenario this morning in the Hong Kong hemicycle for Carrie Lam, who relied heavily on this policy speech to make a fresh start, after the dark summer of Hong Kong .

She could not even read the first paragraphs of her text. Of course, we expected some disorder, but rather outside. That is why Parliament was under high protection.

And it was actually from these first steps inside the Parliament that Carrie Lam was verbally abused by opposition MPs. They were all dressed in black, like anti-government protesters, with whom they have been united since the beginning of this revolt. So they chanted the slogan of the protesters, namely: five requests, not one less. And they also called for his resignation.

The disorder continued when Carrie Lam entered the Chamber of Deputies, where other deputies wore a Xi Jinping mask and some waved placards showing Carrie Lam with blood on her hands.
