The statement was issued following a meeting of the Council of Ministers of France and Germany, which was attended by French leader Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“We welcome the recent positive developments in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and look forward to holding a meeting in the“ Norman format ”in Paris to achieve progress in resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Kiev would implement the Steinmeier formula for the Donbass if agreements were reached at a meeting of leaders of the Norman format.
