Wales opener Dan Biggar, who has been hit twice in the World Cup group stage, is "fit" to play in the quarter-final against France on Sunday in Oita, said Tuesday. Welsh attack coach Stephen Jones.

"He is training with us today, which is fantastic," said Beppu Jones, who also says he can count on center Jonathan Davis. "We are in a good position, guys have returned to training today."

Biggar, Welsh No. 1 opener in the absence of Gareth Anscombe, wounded in August during preparation, suffered two concussions during the group stage: a first against Australia (29-25) on September 29, and a second in a clash with his teammate Liam Williams during the win against Fiji Wednesday (29-17).

In the same match, Jonathan Davies injured his knee by giving Josh Adams a great pass on the back.

The XV Leek, winner of the last tournament of six nations but has never reached a final of Mondial, will leave favorite against France Sunday. Even if the Blues will have more physical freshness after the cancellation of their last group match against England because of the passage of typhoon Hagibis.
