"Yes, the man was arrested during the night against Tuesday on probable cause of serious unlawful threats and serious weapons crime," said Thomas Agnevik, spokesman for the police.

It was around 19.30 on Monday evening that several patrols were sent to the Oxel Mountains after alarms that a man must have been running around with a weapon-like object.

When the police came to the scene, the man, according to the police, must have threatened two policemen with the object and should then have left the scene. The 25-year-old man was arrested nearby and is now under arrest.

- The arrest request must be submitted no later than 12 o'clock on Friday, 18, if there is going to be an arrest, says Thomas Agnevik.

The shoot-like object was seized and is going to NFC for analysis.

- They decide and check how dangerous it is and if it is a weapon that is subject to the Arms Act, says Thomas Agnevik.
