16 October 2019The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella arrived in the US capital. On Wednesday the official visit of the Head of State will begin at the White House where he will be received by the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump.In Italy it will be 4:15 pm when the head of the US administration will welcome Mattarella to the Oval office, to then kick off the bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio. In the evening, the reception offered in the East Room of the White House by President Trump in honor of the guest, with the participation of members of the Italian community.
Thursday at noon, the center of the scene will be the Capitol, venue of the Congress, where Mattarella will meet the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, with whom he will meet for breakfast. In the afternoon, the Head of State will travel to San Francisco, to attend, on Friday, at the University of Stanford, at the "US-Italy Innovation Forum". President Mattarella will return to Italy on Saturday 19 October.
