ABC news channel aired scenes of strong explosions during a weapons promotion program as recorded during Operation Turkish Spring in northern Syria.

US President Donald Trump criticized the channel's attempt to suggest that propaganda scenes of weapons were recorded during the Turkish military operation. "A big scandal," they said.

A big scandal at @ABC News. They got caught using really gruesome FAKE footage of the Turks bombing in Syria. A real disgrace. Tomorrow they will ask softball questions to Sleepy Joe Biden's son, Hunter, like why did Ukraine & China pay you millions when you knew nothing? Payoff?

The president attacked the network in a tweet on Twitter, comparing its coverage of what is happening in Syria by covering the crisis of contact with the Ukrainian president.

Misleading public opinion
It is noteworthy that the American channel published scenes of a promotional program for weapons that include powerful explosions, which tried through this view misleading public opinion and suggest that it was recorded during the operation "spring of peace."

ABC released the video, which was actually recorded in 2017 in the United States, and removed the people who were filming the promotional program in the scene via the montage, before broadcasting on its news video.

After uncovering the truth of the forgery, the channel issued a statement expressing regret at the publication of the video, stressing that it removed the scene because of doubts about its authenticity.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish army launched last Wednesday "spring of peace" with the participation of the Syrian National Army in the area east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, and aims to create a safe area for the return of Syrian refugees to their homes.
