It was on June 13 that an ambulance, rescue service and police were called to a street at the Junkar Target School in Tranås after an accident occurred. According to police reports, the two teenagers were sitting in a shopping cart pulled by an A-tractor outside the school. Witnesses at the scene said the carriage then overturned and that the two youths fell to the ground.

- We have seized the A-tractor and a preliminary investigation into negligence for bodily injury and carelessness in traffic has been initiated. But no person is deprived of liberty, police spokesman Thomas Agnevik said hours after the accident.

Reckless driving

The teenage boy driving the A tractor is now being prosecuted in Eksjö District Court on suspicion of carelessness in traffic. He is no longer suspected of causing bodily harm.

The two teenagers who sat in the shopping cart were taken to Högland Hospital with minor injuries. One of them had gone home after care and one was admitted for care.

The shopping trolley pulled by the A-tractor must have had low speed when the cart went into a curb and overturned.
