The meeting starts at 11 am and invited are the regions Uppsala, Örebro, Västmanland, Sörmland and Dalarna, of which four last week went up in staff position.

- According to the information we got at the end of last week, no other regions are affected, which is why we only call these regions, says Johanna Sandwall.

- We want to get an overall picture and also create a collaboration forum between the regions, she adds.

"Unfortunate situation"

She concludes that it is very unfortunate that the shortage situation has arisen, as many are affected, but that the regions concerned have acted as they should.

- By going up in staff position you have shortened your decision paths and thus have better preparedness to be able to act more efficiently and faster.

One question that will be asked at today's extraordinarily collaborative conference is what the emergency medical preparedness looks like.

- We want to know if it is affected, that is, how the region's preparedness looks to take care of major, unexpected events, such as major accidents, terrorist attacks or electricity supply shortages.
