Hempel noted that the reunification of Germany took place without a referendum, but among the inhabitants of Europe "this did not cause a negative."

“Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer would be nice to come to Crimea and only after that make statements about alleged signs of violations,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Hempel also believes that the visit of Kramp-Karrenbauer to the Crimea will help her to verify the erroneousness of her conclusions.

The Crimean deputy added that the FRG needs, first of all, to negotiate the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.

Earlier, Kramp-Karrenbauer announced the need to have good neighborly relations with Russia. At the same time, she stated that international law was violated in the matter of reunification with Crimea.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
