The waterworks was inaugurated in July with attention from all over the world. The technology used was innovative and perhaps the only one of its kind in the entire world.
- Just being a finalist at a European award of this dignity is an honor for the municipality of Mörbylånga. Of course, we hope for a profit, even though the competition is stiff, ”says Billy Gidö, project manager at the water-based operations at Mörbylånga municipality, in a press release.
The prize is awarded annually by the industry organization Water Reuse Europe for groundbreaking recycling projects related to water. The winner will be announced on October 21.
