The mistake was noticed by Politico journalist Dave Brown.

“There are two wonderful traditions on October 13th: the celebration of the US Navy Day and the publication on Twitter of photos of Russian ships to celebrate this date,” he wrote on Twitter.

Mast corrected the error by attaching a video of the official account of the US Navy to the congratulation.
